1:30pm Sprintfield:
A simulation game of plant operation in a crisis situation

Facilitator: Jérémy Eydieux (INP Grenoble), MCF in ManagementSciences at Grenoble INP and researcher at CERAG on the governance of industrial risks
Language:
French or English depending on the participants
Duration: 3h30
Location:
ROOM 208 & 209 (2nd floor) - House of Creation & Innovation (MACI)
University of Grenoble Alpes - 339 Av. Centrale, 38400 Saint-Martin-d'Hères
Groups of 3 to 4 people - 6 to 8 groups (2 rooms)
Please bring a laptop per group.

The aim is to train participants in the human dimensions of safety and the exercise, based on a real accident, is both a simulation and a role play. Participants will play a role, each involving different responsibilities and knowledge. The simulation will start with a normal situation, then quickly the situation will deteriorate: alarms will appear, they will have to be interpreted, sometimes there will be no time and sometimes the waiting time will relax the vigilance... Whether the plant is saved or not, the participants will prepare a relief for the next shift. The handovers will be presented in the full room to the facilitators, who will in turn report their observations of the group dynamics.

2:00pm - Exercise on rock risk

Facilitators: Franck Bourrier, Dominique Daudon (3SR Laboratory, UGA)
Language:
French & English
Duration: 2h30/3h
Location: Salle 011 - 3SR laboratory
- University of Grenoble Alpes
Bâtiment Galilée - 1270, rue de la piscine - 38400 Saint Martin d’Hères
Capacity : 28 places
Please bring a laptop

(a computer can be provided if necessary: ask for it to sylvie.perrier (a)univ-grenoble-alpes.fr).
This workshop will present how to assess the risk of rockfall. Participants will understand the most important factors that influence the risk calculation, using a trajectographic code for a real case, near Grenoble: an area impacted by a rockfall with roads and houses. And they will have to choose a protection structure.
Each participant is invited to use his/her own computer to access the application (Mac, Windows, Linux).

1.30 pm - EXOCRISE PCS - Grenoble Institute of Major Risks (IRMa)

Facilitators: François Giannoccaro, Director, & Guilhem Dupuis, Head of training, exercises and expert network (IRMa).
Language: French
Duration: 2h30/3h
Location: ROOM 208 & 209 (2nd floor) - House of Creation & Innovation (MACI)

University of Grenoble Alpes - 339 Av. Centrale, 38400 Saint-Martin-d'Hères

This is a simulation exercise of a PCS (Plan Communal de Sauvegarde) crisis unit in a community, with role-playing. By taking on a role (communication, support, coordination, logistics, security, mapping, etc.), the participants will have to keep their objective in mind during the exercise: to protect the population in the face of a rapid-onset event impacting the local area and to respond to multiple requests (media, inhabitants, social networks, etc.).
