Management of soil and wildfire risks under climate change what uses? State of the art & discussion with specialists

On December 10, 2024

M2 students in the RISK thematic program at the UGA Graduate School are organizing a seminar open to all to share the state of the art on the issue of Management of soil and wildfire risks under climate change. They will present a scientific review of the various issues involved, and invite scientists specializing in each approach to share their point of view and share a discussion with audience. The seminar is free and open to all, and will close with a cocktail reception.

Partners' day - Citizen data for risk prevention - What dialogue and what uses?

The Risk Institute, PARN and IRMA are organising their Partners' Day at the Maison du doctorat Jean Kuntzmann on Thursday 19 September 2024 from 9am to 5pm on the theme of citizen data for risk prevention. Following on from last year's theme on tools and systems for anticipating risks in the field, this year we will be looking at the issue from the angle of dialogue and the uses of citizen data between scientists, public authorities, economic players and citizens. This seminar in French is aimed at the scientific community and all the local players involved in risk prevention.

Summer School RISK@UGA 2024 - Risks emphasized by climate change and ageing of infrastructures

The Summer School of the RISK thematic program of the Graduate School @UGA will take place on 27, 28 and 29 August 2024, in the GreEN-ER building in Grenoble (France). Three days dedicated to the intensification of risks linked to climate change and the ageing of infrastructures; a program built in collaboration with the Risk Institute of the Université Grenoble Alpes, free of charge and open to all, students, researchers, public authorities and risk professionals.

This forum will explore issues related to engineering resilience to various threats such as aging infrastructure failures, natural disasters and climate change, intentional attacks (cybersecurity and terrorism), and emerging threats faced by various industries, critical infrastructures, and cities.
